Canadian Merino ~ Variegated Paintings ~ Abstract YarnAY-043
Painters Past Time yarns are an ever changing set of hand painted yarns reminiscent of the world around and the artistic interpretations of it that have come present and past. Each yarn skein is an abstract painting unto itself. Created in small batches each series will never be exactly the same as the ones that came before. Though my colourways are repeated, I am guided by new inspirations each time I dye.
This Canadian Merino Yarn is made up of one strand of Mule Spun singles, this is a premier superfine yarn. It can be used in knitting machines, for hand knitting, or in weaving as weft, single ply yarns are not recommended for warp. This wool handles like a light fingering weight yarn.
1ply ~ Fingering Woolen Spun
112 gm/4 oz skein
One skein will make a small to medium sized kerchief scarf and works beautifully with other commercial yarns of the same weight or with hand spun yarns.
This yarn is mill spun from 100% pure new wool sourced directly from farmers in Western Canada and through the Canadian Co-operative Wool Growers. Canadian wool is noticeably different than other wool - our sheep live in extreme temperatures and so their wool is loftier (more fluffy and bulky) and often of higher quality then some other wools
This is 100% wool and will felt. Hand wash gently with Eucalan of Unicorn Fibre Wash and Rinse. See the Woolly Washing section of my shop for these products.
